Single-Source Help-Production means, that we have only one document to edit, and with this Single-Source we produce Windows- Help.
I want to describe here an easy way for a Single-Source Help-Production!. We use Word-documents as source for two types of help:
1. complete help-files (.chm)
2. linked html-pages, which we can put in a web.
Both types of documents we produce with the same single source, Manually corrections in the produced html- or help-files are not nessesary.
We use only freeware fort his purpose.
With a little but very effective tool CLEANHTML (pur Xbase-code), which completes all the missing features and transforms all the produced code in a usable form you are now able to produce help-files from any word-sources within few minutes. Without the tool all functioning too, but you can save a lot of time when you don´t have to do manually corrections at the different points of the html-help production-process.
Ich beschreibe zwei Arten von Hilfe, die man bequem aus Word-Dokumenten erstellen kann. Zum einen sind das
1. Verlinkte HTML-Dateien, zum anderen ist das die
2. klassische Html-Hilfe (*.chm)
Beide Arten können aus der gleichen Word-Source erstellt werden.
Ausgangspunkt sind Dokumente, die mit Word erstellt wurden.
Es wird ausschließlich Freeware für diesen Zweck benutzt.
Mit einem kleinen aber effektiven Tool CLEANHTML (pur Xbase-code), das in der Freeware fehlende Funktionen und vorhandene Unregelmäßigkeiten behebt, ist man in der Lage aus jedem Word-Dokument innerhalb von Minuten eine Help-File zu erstellen. Auch ohne das Tool geht es, nur muß man dann an verschiedenen Stellen des Productions-Prozesses korrigierend eingreifen, was sehr lästig und zeitaufwendig sein kann.
You send us the document, and we produce the help-files for you. We charge 200 Euro for this service, independent of the size of the document. Alternately we can sell you our helper-programm (inculding the sources) and you can do follow up all changes in your source-document by your own.
